ABOUT ANKRA

ANKRA PsychotherapyA space to understand what is happening inside you
when your life feels internally stuck.

WHEN SOMETHING INSIDE FEELS STUCK

Sometimes life continues on the outside. You work, you take care of responsibilities, you keep moving. But internally something feels difficult to understand. You may feel:• trapped in your own thoughts
• unsure how to move forward in your life
• unable to explain what is happening inside you
• reacting emotionally in ways that confuse you
• a persistent sense that something is not working
Many people arrive to therapy without clear answers. They simply feel stuck, overwhelmed, or internally closed in.This work begins by slowing things down and understanding what is happening inside your inner world.

HOW THIS WORK HELPS

When we begin exploring these experiences carefully, things often start to become clearer.People begin to notice how their thoughts, emotions and reactions interact.Over time, we start to understand the internal patterns shaping their experiences. This awareness creates the possibility for change. In therapy we work with both the psychological and somatic dimensions of experience so that change is not only intellectual, but lived and embodied. The goal is to help you develop:• greater clarity about your internal world
• emotional flexibility
• the ability to move forward in your life with more stability
The goal is not to slow you down.
The goal is to reduce the internal cost of sustaining responsibility. This is structured, private, and performance-aligned.It is designed to strengthen autonomy — not create dependency.

ABOUT

ANKRA was created by Natalia, a psychotherapist with more than 14 years of experience working with individuals and families in Ecuador and Australia.Natalia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a major in Clinical Psychology obtained in Ecuador, and a Master of Social Work completed in Australia. She is professionally accredited with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).Over the years she has trained in multiple therapeutic approaches, including creative therapies such as art therapy, play therapy and Jungian approaches, as well as more traditional psychological frameworks like cognitive and narrative therapy. Her work also integrates somatic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices such as MBSR, allowing therapy to address both the mind and the body.Throughout her career Natalia has worked with children, adults, couples and families, supporting people through complex trauma, life transitions, grief and periods of emotional uncertainty. After years of clinical work, she began noticing something important. Many people were not struggling because they lacked intelligence, insight or capability. What was often missing was a clear understanding of how their internal world actually works.People frequently feel confused by their thoughts, emotions and reactions. They may not understand how their mind and body communicate, or why certain experiences keep repeating in their lives.Natalia’s work focuses on helping people slow down, understand their internal language, and begin creating clarity where there was confusion.A central part of her work is the ability to recognise patterns in the way people think, narrate their experiences and relate to themselves. By understanding these internal structures, therapy can begin to untangle confusion and open new possibilities for change. Her approach integrates both psychological understanding and somatic awareness, working with the mind and body together so that change can be experienced not only intellectually, but in everyday life.Natalia works in English and Spanish and offers online psychotherapy sessions from Melbourne to clients around the world.
